Description
With more than 10 years of experience in the field of European Project Management and International Relations, Eleni Liakidou joined the University of Luxembourg in August 2021. Her current position is Project Officer EUMaster4HPC in the Parallel Computing and Optimisation Group of Prof. Pascal Bouvry. Her main activities are the overall Project Management, liaising with all stakeholders and promotion of project activities. Before this, she worked as an International Relations Officer in charge of building strategic partnerships specific interuniversity cooperation (degree agreements). She also participated actively in the construction of the university’s international strategy and to promote scholarships and funding opportunities within Uni.lu.
Before moving to Luxembourg, Eleni Liakidou’s previous position was Head of International Pole at Sorbonne Université (“SU”). Main tasks were the internationalization of training through European Calls of Education (Erasmus+, EIT) and to harmonize procedures regarding mobility funding and internal approval. Furthermore, she has been working from 2015 to 2018 as an International Project Officer at the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering at the Sorbonne Université (“SU”). Overall, she has solid experience in European Calls of Education (Erasmus+), monitoring bilateral and multilateral interuniversity cooperation schemes (dual degrees and strategic partnerships), and managing study programs.
